これで終わりです。いっしょ に 仕上げましょう。
DBJSU is officially concluded, and I would be remiss not to give my little program a proper wrap-up. Looking back, my posts in the series started positive but progressively got darker/increasingly serious. This I somewhat regret. It’s a larger issue with my writing: I am interested in serious things. Instead of sins and ghosts, there were plenty of nice picnics I could have detailed. But no, that’s not emo enough for me… ごめんなさい、日本。OTZ
Due to this issue, I’ve opted for a back-to-basics look back at how great my time in Japan was. And there’s no greater example than my health:
Japan blessed my body and mind in many ways, and the food was a BIG part. The salient effects of the Japanese diet included: My acne breakouts coming to a screeching halt, my stomach never bloating, and my shits being healthy and smooth! LFG for smooth poops! Also beneficial for my physical health were the long walks, my hard futon, and all of the sunshine. I’ll miss these things dearly.
But what I’m already missing most of all is my people. Despite any temporary misgivings, being in highly social environments always brings me great benefits. Every day in Akita had hundreds of smiles. I laughed, sang, and cried. I really feel like I lived a whole year in those six weeks. Thank you so much to my great friends who made my time there so special! 時間が早かったですね?
私は行きますが忘れません。
