I can’t say I’ve lived a very storied life, yet I have a deep fascination with building up Jude Lore. The origin of this site’s title-- D.B.D.S.U.-- was “Dr. Bronner’s Dick Suck UNIVERSE,” an archive of my life and some of the important things I could remember. In this week’s earlier post I mentioned a slim part of that, “The Year of Loosening Up.” But that was just one year of 21!
Every year I like to try and emphasize new parts of myself. A fresh take on things with a renewed perspective, in which I make decisions informed in a particular way. In my year of loosening up, I smoked a lot of weed and also killed my habit of overthinking. This yearly technique is one half of my life chronicle-- The foresighted declaration.
Dick Suck Universe is the first attempt at the second half of my chronicle-- The hindsighted review. I’ve broken up and subdivided longer periods of my life which share commonalities as “Eras.” To be clear, I did this before Taylor.
Combined, I’ve got a fair little bit of personal history which I can refer to. It’s been a nice exercise in both being purposeful in my choices and honoring my past. In reality, I’m doing all the work I do today for the younger Judes, of the Mercurial Era, the Renaissance Era, the Independence Era and beyond…
